The design of erosion control measures in a small basin
Prchlíková, Simona ; Kameníčková, Ivana (referee) ; Doležal, Petr (advisor)
Main goal of this bachelor thesis was the proposal for protection against erosion in selected river basin. Digital model of terrain was created with the help of ArcGis tools. Average yearly erosion wash off was determined by calculation in ArcGis software. The assessment was determined by two factors that influence threat level for particular area. The goal is to highlight the differences between the levels of threat by water erosion after two various rain types. Selected erosion control measures were suggested for the worse option. Chosen appropriate measures were as follows: grassing, erosion control crop rotation and interruption of slope by furrow. Subsequently, new erosion control measures were implemented into the calculation of new state of threatened area. In the final comparison, after implementing erosion control measures, it was a significant and noticeable improvement in conditions. Solution respects trend of water retention in the landscape and use of low-cost measures.
Vyhodnocení ohroženosti pozemků vodní erozí a návrh protierozních opatření ve vybraném území pro konkrétní hospodařící podnik
Kličková, Martina
This master's thesis, which was written in cooperation with the Agricultural Cooperative based in Sloupnice, deals with the issue of water erosion and its possible solutions in terms of land improvements and the new Strategic Plan of the Czech Republic within the Common Agricultural Policy for the period 2023–2027. Furthermore, the current tools of soil erosion protection are presented from the perspective of the Czech Republic, the world and current global challenges. Subsequently, the theoretical part is followed by the practical part. In the introduction to the practical part, the farming cooperative and the territory for which this work is prepared are characterized in more detail. The Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) and ArcGIS Pro software are used to assess erosion vulnerability. Appropriate measures are then applied, taking into account the theoretical review and the calculation. The focus of the whole work is then on the final part, in which I compare the situation before and after the design of erosion control measures, discuss their importance, and provide an economic evaluation.
